Forging Champions in Panama City

David Beluche is more than just a Second Degree Black Belt – he's a driving force behind the growth of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Panama.  A dedicated competitor and mentor, David began his journey in 2011 under Professor Timothy Ewing, quickly discovering a passion that would shape his life and the lives of countless others.

A Legacy of Development:

In 2012, David transitioned into coaching, focusing on developing young athletes. He created a structured program designed to build both physical and mental strength, leading his students to numerous victories at prestigious competitions like Gracie Nationals, IBJJF PANKIDS, and NAGA WORLDS.  His commitment to youth development has been instrumental in elevating the level of Jiu-Jitsu in Panama.

A Competitor's Spirit:

David's own competitive journey is a testament to his dedication. He has trained with renowned professors such as Eduardo Telles, Andre Galvao, and Robson Moura, and has tested his skills against top athletes like Jamil Hill and Matheus Gabriel.  His crowning achievement includes a gold medal at NAGA WORLDS in the highly competitive Brown/Black Belt division.

Pioneering Growth in Panama:

Recognizing the need for more local opportunities, David co-founded the Discovering Jiu Jitsu Talents circuit, providing a platform for young athletes to compete and grow. This initiative has significantly contributed to the competitive growth of children's Jiu-Jitsu in Panama.

Global Recognition:

David's achievements have earned him international recognition. In 2018, he won gold at the AJP Panama National Pro and silver at the UAE Continental Pro in Colombia, qualifying him for the prestigious Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship.  He achieved a #1 ranking in Panama and #4 in North America, solidifying his position among the world's elite.  He has re-qualified for the Abu Dhabi World Pro in subsequent seasons, and in 2023, he added another gold medal at the IBJJF Orlando Summer Open.
